General Info:  You need to install tree barriers to protect all trees on or adjacent to your development site(s).  City inspectors need to verify the proper placement and height of the barriers, and once the tree barriers have been inspected, they must remain up until all construction is complete.

Nothing is to be stored within the barrier
No excavation is allowed within the barrier.

Tree barriers are designed to provide maximum protection to the tree limbs and, more importantly, the root system.  Heavy equipment or repeated foot traffic can compact the soil and seriously damage the roots of a tree to the point where they, and therefore the tree, will not survive.  To learn more about the tree roots, click here.
