Grants

Community Services Grants
Community Services Grants provide financial support to non-profit organizations which are working with each other, the various levels of government (including the City) and residents to address social problems and bring about positive social change. Community Services Grants are available once per year. >>Related Council Reports

Social Responsibility Fund
The primary intent of the SRF Community Grants Program is to address social issues in the neighbourhoods in the vicinity of the Edgewater Casino (Mount Pleasant, Strathcona/Downtown Eastside, and the Downtown core). The fund is also meant to ensure that some city-wide priority issues, that may have direct or indirect repercussions in the targeted communities, are appropriately addressed (i.e., city-wide crime prevention projects, local responses to addiction issues). >> Related Council Reports

Capital Grants
Capital Grants are available once per year to non-profit social service, daycare, and cultural organizations to assist in facility purchase, construction, renovation, or expansion. These limited funds are not available for deficits, equipment, furniture, repairs, maintenance, or projects already underway or completed. >>Related Council Reports

Childcare Grants
The Childcare Grants Program is available to help develop accessible, affordable, high quality childcare services, especially in the areas of the city that need them most, by supporting existing childcare programs, encouraging new initiatives in high need areas, and helping develop the support services needed for an efficient childcare system. The City of Vancouver is currently reviewing its Civic Childcare Grants program. The new process, contingent on Council approval, will be in place by 2006 grant season. >>Related Council Reports

POD Grants
POD (or Partners in Organizational Development) Grants provide financial support to non-profit organizations in BC to help them adapt to change, improve their organization and respond to diversity. >>Related Council Reports
