General Information
Inventory of Community Spaces (
PDF, 302KB) - Prepared for the City in 2003 by Mosaic. This resource guide details the various meeting spaces available around the City. It includes a brief description of each venue, supplemental equipment and catering, and any costs or deposits required. Note: information contained in this document is a couple of years old, so be sure to call ahead to verify the rates and availability of a given space.
Newcomer’s Guide - An overview of the city, local government and available services for newcomers to Vancouver. Available in five languages (Chinese, Punjabi, Spanish, Vietnamese and English)(

VanMap - Publicly-accessible GIS mapping of Vancouver. Contains various layers for social planning initiatives, as well as a range of other materials.
Social Indicators Report (
PDF, 1.57MB) - A report of social indicators and statistics produced by the social planning department. Contains a number of population-maps and graphics. Available in colour (

Planning and Zoning
Community Amenity Contributions Through Rezoning - A compilation of materials pertaining to amenity contributions policies for private rezoning applications. Community amenities are provided through rezonings, as a means to help address growth costs, area deficiencies, and/or other community needs and impacts. CACs may be a cash contribution, or an
amenity provided in-kind by the development.
