View Cones - Calculating Maximum Building Heights

Please Note:

Currently, the VanMap views calculator is only available to City Staff. Once testing has been completed, it will be made available to all users.

Overview

To determine if a site is affected by view cones, VanMap's View Cones Application will display all the crossing view cones, determine which view cones are the most restrictive, and accurately calculate the maximum height for any new buildings. VanMap is a Web-based map system that lets you have Vancouver at your fingertips. VanMap pulls together information and data from a variety of sources, and puts it into maps you can view, save or print out.
