View City Wide Community Calendar

What is it all about?

Our Community Calendar serves as a valuable resource, as it enables local community groups, non-profit organizations, and the public to advertise and promote their local non-commercial events for free.

Submit your event using our online form.

What kind of events are acceptable?

Non-commercial community events open to everyone. Our calendar is a great place to promote community celebrations, festivals, cultural events, fundraisers, arts and theatre productions, farmers markets, public information sessions, fairs, block parties...the list is endless!

Who can add an event?

Anyone can add an event, and it's super easy to do. Just fill out our online form to submit your event.

How do I add my event on the Calendar?

  • Fill out our online form to submit your event. And please don't forget to provide your contact information, website address, and full event details (1000 character limit) as this will help get your event up on our calendar faster.
  • Click 'Continue' to display the confirmation screen. Click 'Back' if your event information requires changes.
  • Click 'Finish if you are satisfied with your posting, or cancel.

Postings will be reviewed and available for public viewing within seven days. The City of Vancouver reserves the right to review, edit, and approve or reject postings.

How do I search for an event?

You can search for events happening across the city, or just specifically in your neighbourhood. Select the Community Calendar, and refine your search by using the drop down boxes available within the Event Search Options section located at the right. Choose any or all of these search options:

  • Event Type (i.e. community events, block party, fundraiser & charity events, etc. or select 'All Event Types' to view all events)
  • Community (i.e. Kitsilano, Downtown, your neighbourhood, or select 'All Communities' to view events across the city)
  • Date Range (choose a specific day, date range or month, etc.)
  • Keyword (type i.e. 'fireworks', use main keywords likely to occur in the title or within the event details)
  • Click Search, and that's it!

Need help getting your event on the Calendar? Or require changes to an event already submitted?

For assistance with the Calendar, or for any questions please contact the Community Web Page Administrator via email at community@vancouver.ca or phone 604.873.7121. You can also send a correction notice to request changes to an event listed. This option is available when viewing event details in the calendar.

And please notify the Community Web Page Administrator if an event has been cancelled or postponed.
