City Manager named as one of 100 Most Powerful Women in Canada
For the fourth consecutive year, the City of Vancouver's chief administrator, Judy Rogers, has been ranked in the top 100 of Canada's most powerful women by the Toronto-based Women's Executive Network.
Ms. Rogers, who serves as City Manager for Canada's third largest municipality, was recognized in the Public Sector category. She has held the role of City Manager since 1999 and is the first woman to be appointed to the position in Vancouver.
During her tenure as senior administrator, the City has won numerous accolades - including just recently being selected as one of BC's top 30 employers for 2007 by Maclean's - and was awarded the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
Founded in 1997, the Women's Executive Network (WXN) is Canada's leading organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of executive-minded women in the workplace.
The WXN's annual Top 100 Award celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments of Canadian women in several categories: Arts and Communications, Corporate Executives, Entrepreneurs, Future Leaders, Professionals, Public Sector Leaders, and Trailblazers.
