Vancouver Economic Development Commission: Board of Directors The City of Vancouver is seeking nominations for individuals who might serve on the volunteer board of the Vancouver Economic Development Commission. The VEDC, an agency of the City of Vancouver, works to strengthen the City’s economic future by helping existing businesses, attracting investment, researching the business environment and making policy recommendations. Ideal candidates will have skills and experience in one or more of the following areas: • Corporate finance and taxation; • International finance; • Marketing and communications, including international marketing; • Human capital; • Real estate and urban development; • The green economy; • Life and health sciences; • The creative economy; • The digital economy Applicants are asked to use the on-line application form to apply at: vancouver.ca/ccadvisoryboard_wa. The form can be submitted electronically. The deadline for applications is no later than 5 pm, Friday, June 24, 2011.
