Public Auction: Sale of Land for Taxes – November 9, 2011 The City of Vancouver will hold a public auction of lands on which taxes or other charges have been delinquent for two years. Under the provisions of the Vancouver Charter, the auction will be held: Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 10 am Vancouver City Hall, 453 West 12th Avenue Third Floor, Council Chamber Seating is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. The list of properties to be offered for sale is available only at vancouver.ca/taxsale starting at 5 pm on November 2, 2011. THE LIST OF PROPERTIES IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE Transfers resulting from tax sale are subject to the Property Purchase Tax Act and the Harmonized Sales Tax where applicable. Only cash, certified cheques, bank drafts or debit cards are accepted. Delinquent taxpayers are reminded that cost savings may still be realized by making payment before the sale starts.
