The mandate of the City of Vancouver Archives, a division of the City Clerk's Department, is to acquire, organize and preserve Vancouver's historical records and make them available to the widest possible audience.

Our holdings include:

City of Vancouver government records (public records)
Records of non-government organizations, businesses and individuals (private records)
Visual records including historic photographs, maps, etc.

As a security measure, the Archives requires photo identification to be shown when registering. You can fill out the registration form in advance.

Hours of service

Monday through Friday:
Reading Room open	9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Staff assistance	10:00 am to 4:45 pm

Closed statutory and civic holidays.
