Using the Archives
All researchers are required to register and present photo ID. The City of Vancouver Archives does not participate in interlibrary loans. Obtain reproductions of recordsReproductions of the records held by the Archives may be obtained in many forms. For more information, see Reproduction Services. Reproductions are available subject to copyright, legal, conservation or donor restrictions. Send an InquiryThe City of Vancouver Archives receives inquiries by conventional mail, fax, and electronic means. Due to the volume of requests we receive, we are unable to undertake extensive research requests. If you have a specific question about a particular subject, individual or archival holding, we will try to respond to your inquiry in a timely manner. Please note, however that response time may be affected by heavy workloads. If you are planning a visit or have a time-sensitive project, please keep this in mind. If you are sending your inquiry electronically (archives@vancouver.ca), please include your mailing address so we can respond appropriately.
