75th Jubilee Event

On June 8, 2008, the Archives hosted an event to launch The Man Who Saved Vancouver by Daphne Sleigh. This biography of Major J. S. Matthews, Vancouver's first City Archivist, is also the first book-length biography of a Canadian archivist ever published. Many of Matthews' descendants travelled to Vancouver to attend.
