Mayor Sam Sullivan proclaimed June 8 to 14 as City of Vancouver Archives Week in honour of the Archives' 75th anniversary. See video of the proclamation.
New Parking Procedures at Archives - effective April 14th, 2008

A pilot site for the Yip Sang Correspondence Project, is now available as part of our new Digitized Holdings section. |

We now have WiFi access in our Reading Room to allow patrons to search our database on site using their own laptops. |
As a security measure, the Archives is now requiring photo identification to be shown when registering.
Moving images now searchable: Using the Refined Search Screen, for Medium select video*/film reel*, and for Level select item, to produce a list of our moving images. Most of these are viewable in the Archives' Reading Room.
Electronic News and Events: The Archives has started an email-based newsletter to deliver information on new records that have become available, events of interest, and other news to those interested in Vancouver's history.
