Reproduction ServicesPolicyIn most cases, the City of Vancouver Archives will provide reproductions of any item in its holdings for the purpose of fair dealing or for other uses (such as publication) if the item is in the public domain or its copyright is owned by the City of Vancouver. If copyright is held by a third party or is unknown, the purchaser will be required to obtain permission to use the reproduction from the copyright holder before the order will be filled. In such cases, CVA staff will verify the copyright holder and the date of the record requested, to the extent possible, based on current descriptions, and will check our files to see if the copyright has been assigned to the City of Vancouver. For more detail, see our full Reproduction Policy. For further information regarding copyright, please review our Copyright FAQ or please see the Canadian Intellectual Property Office’s website.
