Council of Councils meetings

Civic agency and committee members,

Thank you to those of you who were able to attend our first Council of Councils meeting on September 15, 2009. If you were not able to join us this year there is no need for concern as we will be reconvening for our next Council of Councils meeting in September 2010.

As a follow up to our last meeting, we are forwarding a link to the following materials:

1. Copies of presentations made at the September 15, 2009, meeting:

Unfortunately we have recently learned that we are not to post a copy of the City of Vancouver's Social Indicators presentation on our website for you to access; however, please do not hesitate to request a hardcopy or CD copy from your staff liaison or by e-mailing Vanessa Kay, Social Policy Analyst at vanessa.kay@vancouver.ca.

2. Questions and Answers (41 kb) from the discussion groups and evaluation forms.
3. Evaluation Summary (52 kb) of the September 15, 2009, Council of Councils. Your feedback and concerns are appreciated, and we have already started to incorporate several of your  suggestions for planning next year's Council of Councils meeting.  Your committee staff liaison will provide you an update.
4. Some civic agencies and committees asked for a presentation on Council's priority and strategy regarding Homelessness and Affordable Housing.  My apologies for not getting this out to you sooner.  This will be held on Monday, December 7, 2009, in Council Chambers.  Door open at 6:30 pm and presentation will begin at 7 pm.
