City of Vancouver and CUPE 391
reach tentative agreement

 

The City of Vancouver is pleased to announce that a tentative contract settlement with the approximately 725 members of CUPE 391 was reached on Wednesday. The CUPE 391 bargaining committee agreed to recommend the settlement to its membership.

Members of the local will vote to ratify the contract within the next 30 days. The agreement is similar to other settlements reached recently in the Lower Mainland municipalities.

CUPE 391 represents workers in the City’s 21 library branches. Employees in this local work in a range of positions from librarians and library assistants, to systems personnel and clerical and administrative staff.
