EP Fair - Two Days of Disaster, Mayhem, and Fun
The City kicks off Emergency Preparedness Week in Vancouver with the third annual Emergency Preparedness (EP) Fair. The two-day fair officially opens:
Sunday, April 30, 2000 at 12 noon
Vancouver Fire and Rescue Training Facility
1353 Chess Street, Vancouver
(Best access is from Station St. north of VIA Rail Station. See map below.)The EP Fair is a free, two-day family event that gives residents a chance to learn more about emergency preparedness. There will be rescue demonstrations, emergency personnel, vehicles and equipment, childrens activities and entertainment.
Here are some of the events scheduled for April 30:

10:30 Live Fire demo in Burn Tower
11:00 Hazardous Materials demo
11:30 V.P.D. Motorcycles
12:00 Official Opening Ceremony
1:00 ICBC Presentation
1:30 Live Fire
1:45 Fire Dept. Fashion Show
2:00 V.P.D. Motorcycles
2:30 CPR Demonstration
The EP Fair runs April 30 and May 1, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. respectively. It is one of the events taking place in Vancouver as part of Emergency Preparedness Week May 1 - 7.
