Ride the Rails to Granville Island Starting May 20
Vancouvers Downtown Historic Railway will resume runs along South False Creek May 20 to October 1, 2000.
Two beautifully restored trams will run every half hour on weekends and holidays from 1-5 p.m. The trip between Granville Island, Leg-in-Boot Station, and First/Ontario Station is $2 return for adults and $1 return for children and seniors.
Forget parking -- take the tram and experience part of Vancouvers transportation history. Charters are available any day of the week by calling 325-9990.
The Downtown Historic Railway is a cooperative venture between the Transit Museum Society (TRAMS), the City of Vancouver and Vancouver AM Tourist Association. These organizations are working together to restore an inner-city streetcar system along False Creek and, potentially, into the downtown area.
