TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Repairs at Pender and Burrard
Scheduled for March 4 - 5

Repairs to Vancouver’s Dedicated Fire Protection System (DFPS) will close one block of Pender Street, from Hornby to Burrard, on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5.

Motorists should expect delays in this area, and may want to consider alternate routes.

This work is being done to fix a minor leak in a fire hydrant at Pender and Burrard. The leak does not affect the operation of the DFPS, which provides an earthquake-resistant supply of fire fighting water to the downtown core. Repairs are being done to prevent erosion under the roadway.
