TRAFFIC ADVISORY

Construction on Clark Drive from Parker
to Sixth Avenue Will Cause Delays

Sewer construction on Clark Drive from Parker Street to Sixth Avenue will start Monday February 7, 2000 and continue until the end of March.

The work in this seven-block section of Clark will reduce the number of traffic lanes from six down to two (one lane north-bound and one lane south-bound). Work will also affect street parking in the area. Motorists should expect delays and may want to consider alternate routes.

The project will replace an old deteriorating sewer and help reduce the occurrence of combined sewage overflows into Vancouver Harbour during rain storms.

Following completion of the sewer project, construction will begin on left-turn bays from Clark Drive (north- and south-bound) onto First Avenue. The two left-turn bays are expected to be completed by the end of August.
