Advance voting for Decision 2004: At-large or Wards plebiscite

The City of Vancouver will hold a plebiscite on Vancouver’s electoral system on Saturday, October 16, 2004. For people unable to vote on October 16, the City has two advance voting opportunities:

October 6 and 12 (8 a.m. to 8 p.m.)
City Hall
453 West 12th Avenue, Vancouver.

To vote in advance, you must sign a declaration stating your reasons. Here are some of the reasons for advance voting:

  • you will be absent from the city on October 16
  • you are unable to vote on October 16 due to reasons of conscience
  • you are unable to attend at the voting place on October 16 for reasons beyond your control
  • you have a physical disability or mobility impairment
  • you are an election official on October 16.

All eligible electors must register to take part in the Decision 2004 plebiscite. You must show two pieces of identification (one with a signature on it) and complete and sign a registration form. Only eligible Vancouver voters can take part in this vote.
