Campaign Financing Disclosure deadline wraps up Election 2005

The deadline for candidates in Vancouver's 2005 municipal election to file campaign financing disclosure statements has now passed.

Candidates in the 2005 general local election (which was held November 19, 2005) had until March 20, 2006 to file their disclosure statements.

According to Section 62 of the Vancouver Charter, disclosure statements for each candidate in a municipal election, and each elector organization, must be filed with the City Clerk within 120 days after general voting day. These disclosure statements must include the total amount of campaign contributions received and the total amount of election expenses.

All forms filed as of the March 20 deadline are now available for public inspection at the Office of the City Clerk on the third floor of Vancouver City Hall, and on the City's website at: vancouver.ca/vote
