KPMG to review financial arrangements for Vancouver's Olympic Village development

Mayor Gregor Robertson today announced that KPMG, the City of Vancouver's external auditors, will undertake a review of the financial arrangements surrounding the development of the Olympic Village for the 2010 Winter Games.

"This review is being undertaken in line with my commitment to provide the citizens of Vancouver with as much information as possible about the financial arrangements consistent with the City's legal and financial interests," Robertson said. "As the City's external auditors, KPMG is ideally suited to undertake this task."

Robertson said the City has already assembled the materials it believes will be needed for the review and work will begin immediately.
