City offers access to video screen advertising for Vancouver non-profit
arts and culture groups
The City of Vancouver has launched a new video screen advertising program
that offers non-profit arts and cultural organizations access to promotional
video messaging on screens atop a building at the corner of Robson and
Granville Street.
Eligible Vancouver-based non-profit arts and cultural groups will be
able to apply for screen-time to air silent, 10-second promotional messages
which they will produce. Campaigns may consist of messages with simple
graphic images and animated elements or may be fully produced video spots.
Members of Vancouver’s non-profit arts and cultural community
are invited to learn more about the program at one of the following free
workshops at:
Alliance for Arts and Culture
Suite 100 – 938 Howe Street
Wednesday, July 16 from 2:30 to 4 pm
Wednesday, July 23 from 4 to 5:30 pm
Thursday, July 24 from 4 to 5:30 pm
Details about the program, eligibility and deadlines are also available
online at: vancouver.ca/videoscreen or by contacting Klodyne
Rodney at 604.871.6228.
These cultural announcements will comprise 10 per cent of the airtime
on the screens. The program is made possible through a partnership between
the City of Vancouver, Tourism Vancouver and Bonnis Developments, the
owner of the screens.
The City’s Cultural Services Division will be responsible for
the administration of the promotional messaging for non-profit arts and
cultural groups. The City of Vancouver offers a wide range of grant programs
supporting the performing, visual, literary and media arts.
