Workplace Harassment Intervention Skills - Module 2
Workshop Overview
Supervisory staff, as agents of the employer, are accountable to see that harassment does not occur in their workplace. When they are aware of harassment occurring or of conditions in the workplace that might lead to harassment, it is their responsibility to take steps to intervene. This workshop is designed specifically for those in supervisory or acting supervisory positions and focuses on skills-building to effectively deal with and prevent workplace harassment.
Audience:
Supervisors, managers, foremen, and team leaders, including those in acting positions.

Intermediate / advanced
What's In It For You?
In addition to the objectives from Module 1, key components of this one-day workshop include:
- To recognize the responsibility placed on supervisory personnel to promote and maintain a harassment-free workplace;
- To build communication skills which give clear direction to employees about behaviors that are inappropriate;
- To enhance conflict resolution skills;
- To practice ways of intervening in difficult situations, thereby preventing problems from escalating.
