Harassment Prevention Series: Building Respectful Workplaces - Module 2
Workshop Overview
Supervisory staff are responsible to ensure that harassment and other forms of inappropriate behaviour do not occur in their workplace. This practical workshop is designed specifically for those in supervisory or acting supervisory positions and focuses on skills-building to effectively deal with harassing behaviour and promote respectful workplaces.
Audience:
Developing Supervisors/ Managers
Current Supervisors/ Managers, including those in Acting positions

Intermediate / Advanced
Workshop objectives include:
In addition to the objectives from Module 1, key components of this half-day workshop include:
- Recognize the significant leadership role of supervisors and managers in relation to promoting and maintaining a respectful, harassment-free workplace
- Build communication skills which give clear direction to employees about behaviours that are inappropriate and disrespectful
- Enhance conflict resolution skills
- Practice ways of intervening in difficult situations and prevent problems from escalating
