Workshop Overview
The City of Vancouver is committed to providing a welcoming work environment in which all individuals are treated with mutal respect and dignity. This workshop is intended as an overview on harassment prevention and fostering respect in the workplace. It is designed to educate staff about related City policies, internal resources and employer-employee responsibilities.
Audience:
Frontline/ Non-Supervisory Employees
Developing Supervisors/ Managers
Current Supervisors/ Managers, including those in Acting positions
Course Level:
Foundation
Workshop objectives include:
- Review key elements of a respectful, harassment-free work environment
- Understand the impact of disrespectful behaviour on both the individual and the work group
- Learn employer and employee roles and responsibilities
- Recognize the City's commitment, including related policies and supportive resources
- Explore responses to inappropriate, unwelcome behaviours
