How to ParticipateWe are always looking for partners for the City Emergency Social Services (ESS) Program. Contact us through 311 or by e-mail at ess@vancouver.ca for more information. We need suppliers on hand to provide services and resources to people evacuated from their homes. You can obtain a copy of our supplier agreement that we will keep on file in case of an emergency. We're looking for many suppliers, but here are examples:
We are looking for organizations who might be able to offer space to set up emergency shelter or a reception centre for evacuees. If you can offer space in a disaster, we will set up an agreement and assign your facility to one of the 12 community based ESS teams. Organizations such as:
We are looking to partner with ethno-specific services in the city. We'd like to hear from you if you can provide the following services:
We do not accept donated goods for individuals or families affected by fires or other disasters. If you have items such as furniture, clothing, toys or other items, we will be happy to give your number to the evacuees and have you make arrangements directly. We have no means of collecting funds, or storing goods for distribution. [top] |
