Keep in mind . . .

Some things to remember:

Transit vehicles run on most major downtown streets and arterials. Organizers are reminded to be aware of bus routes when planning events and to look at ways of minimizing disruption.
Although the street may be closed for an event, emergency vehicles and personnel must be given access at any time.
Extremely high volume traffic locations require more extensive planning and a longer timeline for approval (i.e. Robson Street, Granville Street).
Installation of tents or stages requires pre-approval from the FEST committee.
