Notification

The organizer is responsible for ensuring that residents and/or merchants affected by the special event are made aware of it. For instance, a flyer or information leaflet should be distributed along the route of a walk/parade or fun run. The flyer should include information about the event including; date, time, duration, and area of the event. In addition, temporary traffic disruptions or parking restrictions should be specified. Large events may be required to notify the public by advertising in local newspapers.
