Access to the shore/water is provided in several locations around Vancouver.

Docks

For all dock inquiries please contact:

False Creek
Space is available on several docks around False Creek for short-term dinghy tie up. Dinghies must be tied in a way to ensure that they do not impede the ferries from picking up or dropping off passengers.

Coal Harbour
Short-term moorage is available at the Harbour Green dock in Coal Harbour . Leisure crafts are entitled to free three (3) hour moorage on the dock during daytime only. No overnight or after dark moorage is permitted.

Charter boats must book in advance for all pickups and dropoffs and the rate is $75 plus applicable taxes. The dock is restricted to 50' vessels. Please call the Burrard Bridge Civic Marina @ 604-733-5833 or e-mail burrard.marina@vancouver.ca

Granville Island Market
Granville Island provides free, 3 hour moorage at a public dock just north of the market on a first come, first serve basis. www.granvilleisland.com Go to Granville Island Market website

Boat RampBoat Ramps
There are two public boat ramps at Vanier Park that are available free of charge 24 hours a day. Pay parking, however, is in effect for automobiles and trailers. A seasons parking pass can be purchased from Central Parking by calling 604-684-6634.

Kayak Launches
There are two kayak launches now available for public use at the Quayside Marina in Yaletown. The launches are located at the bottom of the eastern access ramp to the marina.

Kayaks and other hand-powered craft may also be launched from the City-owned dock sites as long as launching does not interfere with ferries accessing the docks.

Speed Limit in False Creek
There is a 10 km/hr (5 knots) speed limit in False Creek.
