City Greenway: Seaside Route

Image: Seaside RouteThe Seaside Route is the most popular route in the Vancouver Greenway system. For many, a walk on the Stanley Park Seawall is the essence of Vancouver. The Seawall is part of this 20 km route that follows the shoreline from Spanish Banks, around False Creek, English Bay and Stanley Park to Coal Harbour. The Seaside Route is also part of the City's Bicycle Route Network and will eventually extend along Burrard Inlet to Main St.

Image: Seaside RouteUsed throughout the year by residents and visitors, this greenway comes alive in summer when numerous events including dragon boat racing, fireworks, music festivals and sand castle competitions attract large crowds. Equally enjoyable are relaxing activities such as walking, jogging, cycling, beachcombing and sightseeing. The route also passes by the plant and animal habitats of the foreshore, the forest of Stanley Park and the marsh at Jericho Park.

Destinations and areas of interest along this Greenway include:
