About "The Road Ahead"

The City of Vancouver's major roadwork projects have signage with this symbol.

City crews are busy keeping Vancouver's infrastructure in good shape. We are replacing old sewer and water mains, re-paving roads, and making safety improvements to streets. We're looking ahead, working to make sure one of the world's most livable cities stays that way.

Summer is the best time of year to do this type of work - traffic volumes are lower, and drier weather makes roadwork cheaper and faster.

Because some of these projects affect traffic flow, we encourage motorists to travel in off-peak hours or use alternate routes to avoid delays.
