Cycling

Fastest growing form of transportation

Cycling is the fastest growing type of transportation in Vancouver. Expanding the Bicycle Network is an important strategy in the City's effort to reduce traffic congestion and support a clean, green and healthy mode of transportation.

As one of the City's top transportation priorities, we support cycling by making ongoing investments in bike routes, and other cycling infrastructure and programs. Our long-term goal is to create a "City of Cyclists", where cycling can be a convenient, normal, everyday way of getting around for transporation and recreation.
