Request a bike rack

Vancouver has a program to install individual racks around the City at locations requested by citizens. Currently racks will be provided in commercial districts and public destinations that are in need of bicycle parking. Send your request to bikevancouver@vancouver.ca or call 311.

Please provide the following information:

• your name and contact information
• requested bike rack location; including the street name, hundred block, and a street address if possible
• your relationship to the location; are you a business owner, customer, employee
• photos or other information useful in reviewing the request

Staff will review the request and determine whether or not the location meets program guidelines and ensure that funding is available. Please allow 3 months for the installation of the bike rack. Please note that racks are not installed during winter months.

The City can not install free bike racks on private property or in residential neighbourhoods. For more information on installing bicycle racks please click on the links below.
