General Description of Requirement
This Request for Proposal (“RFP”) identifies a business opportunity for the
successful Proponent to supply, install, implement and maintain digital
surveillance systems, software and storage systems for the Vancouver Police
Department’s interview rooms and the Jail as set out herein for the Vancouver
Police Board (“Board”) for use by the Vancouver Police Department. (The
Board and the Vancouver Police Department are collectively referred to as the
“VPD”.) The Vancouver Police Board is using the services of the City of Vancouver’s
Supply Chain Management Department to issue and manage this Request for
Proposal to the supplier community, lead the source selection process, lead the
negotiation of the contract with successful proponents and ensure transparency
and ethical conduct in all procurement activities. The VPD is requesting Proposals from interested firms with expertise in the
installation of digital surveillance systems and the integration of software and
storage solutions to the surveillance system.
