General Description of Requirement

This RFP identifies a business opportunity for the successful Proponent to provide engineering services for seismic upgrade of the Livestock concrete building located at Hastings Park, Vancouver, BC to meet current codes. Includes but is not limited to the roof diaphragm, interior walls and foundations, to meet the City of Vancouver’s current Building Code requirements and amendments. Also, includes the replacement of the existing roofing membrane system and all associated components. The foresaid scope of work is phase 1 of a multiple phase upgrade plan. The proponents should assume in the seismic design, future upgrade of the building structural components to meet seismic requirements that are not included in Phase 1. The successful proponent shall deliver working drawings and specifications suitable for tender by February 6, 2012.

Information Meeting

A Proponents’ information meeting (the “Information Meeting”) will be held:

Tuesday - October 04, 2011 at 1:00 pm Livestock Building at Hastings Park. Meet at front entrance on north elevation of building on Miller Drive directly across from the main entrance to Hastings Racecourse. Vehicle access Gate 8 on Renfrew Street or Gate 9 on McGill. Parking is available on site. Refer to Site Location Map, Schedule 9
