Chinatown Window Display Contest

Chinatown storefront windows received window displays featuring the seasonal themes of the Christmas/Holiday season and Chinese New Years. The City partnered with the Vancouver Chinatown BIA Society and students from Langara College’s Faculty of Design Formulation to hold two Chinatown “Seasonal Window Display” contests in the winter of 2009/10. As part of their curriculum, Langara design students decorated storefronts on the 0 to 100 block of East Pender Street. Store owners brought festive spirit into their stores and attracted customers during the holiday season.
