New Neon Signs

Pennsylvania Hotel (412 Carrall Street)

An historic neon sign was the finishing touch on the Pennsylvania Hotel’s heritage restoration. The distinct sign adds more night-time lighting to the neighbourhood and supports neighbourhood revitalization. Since its installation in December 2008, the neon sign has become a recognized local landmark at the Hastings and Carrall Street intersection.

Chinatown Plaza Parkade

The project responds to calls in the 2002 Chinatown Vision for better lighting in Chinatown to make it a more desirable night-time stop for shoppers.

Rainier Hotel Neon Sign

The Rainier Hotel, located at 309 Carrall Street, is a Single Room Occupancy (SRO) hotel that has undergone a full heritage building rehabilitation and conversion into self-contained units.
