Become a Corporate Climate Leader

Be a business that cares about Vancouver and the planet by committing to significant greenhouse gas emission reductions.

To date, we have worked with three large companies to complete energy studies and have identified projects with two to four-year simple paybacks that would reduce their annual utility costs by $2.5 million dollars and reduce GHG emissions by 12,000 tonnes/ year.

The City and our partners fund a limited number of engineering assessments of energy-savings opportunities for companies with significant energy use/GHG emissions. Companies are expected to commit to undertaking the actions identified with a two-year or less payback period, and are encouraged to undertake more ambitious measures in the future.

Businesses with over 500 employees are welcome to contact the City’s Sustainability Group to be considered for the Climate Leadership Program.
