Bright Green Summer grows and celebrates the Greenest City

August 13 2015

A bright green summer

The City continues to celebrate Vancouver’s successes to date on the Greenest City 2020 Action Plan.

While you share your green stories, we're seeking feedback on next steps for us to:

  • Reach the ambitious Greenest City goals
  • Imagine Vancouver’s future as a city powered by 100 per cent renewable energy

Participate in a Greenest City activity

On Thursday, August 27, visit the Greenest City team at the Bright Green Summer Block Party at 800-block Robson Street to learn more about how you can contribute to becoming the Greenest City in your everyday life. There will be giant games, a children’s area, and prizes!

You can also take part in a kids' colouring contest at your local library, or visit the Pop-Up City Hall booth at the PNE to learn more and have your photo taken to be included in the Greenest City Stories blog or take a break from fair to fill out the survey.

From business owners who changed business practices to meet the green mindset of their neighbours, to residents who started walking to work, these stories – big and small – show that it takes everyone to become the Greenest City.

We welcome your stories and observations. They could be featured on the blog and you could win great Greenest City prizes.
