All Souls: Little Chamber Music Series that Could performs

A family-oriented community event reflecting the tradition of many cultures around the world where the days at the end of October and beginning of November are a time for honouring the dead in our lives through ceremony and celebration and the maintenance of family grave sites. All Souls is hosted by Mountain View Cemetery to honour and remember the dead.

Celebration Hall is open for the creation of personal memorials. Candles, flowers, and paper are by donation and are provided to create your own personal memorial. Tea will also be served.

The Little Chamber Music Series that Could performs the world premiere of Canadian new music phenom Nicole Lizée's latest work, a piece based on death, written for mixed quartet and tape specifically for All Souls. Featuring Montreal's Ben Reimer, percussion; Vancouver's Mark Haney, double bass; Mark McGregor, flute; and Rebecca Whitling, violin. The composer and musicians will welcome questions and discussion between performances.
