Celebrate Valentine’s Day with loved ones in a "hot" pink pool or "cool" ice rink

February 12 2014

Valentine's Day skate

Get creative and active this Valentine’s Day, February 14, at select Park Board rinks, community centres, and pools!

Hillcrest and Kerrisdale pools

Dip into pink (water, that is) at Hillcrest Aquatic Centre. The largest swimming pool in the city will be coloured pink at 4:00pm in honour of Valentine’s Day. There will also be a partner’s aquafit class at 9:30am and sweet treats will be available throughout the day.

At Kerrisdale Pool, enjoy a Valentine’s tea and cake after the mild aquafit class, which runs 1:35pm to 2:30pm. The tea takes place on the pool deck and is free.

Britannia, Hillcrest, Killarney, Kitsilano, and West End ice rinks

Treat your sweetheart to a skate at Britannia, Hillcrest, Killarney, Kitsilano, and West End rinks with two-for-one admission. Glide to classic tunes and enjoy free hot chocolate, treats, and prizes. Make a special announcement to surprise your date!

Pre-teen dance at Champlain Heights

At Champlain Heights Community Centre, pre-teens 10 to 13 years old can dance to their favourite songs at a Valentine's Day dance beginning at 6:30pm. Prizes will be given away to the best dancers.

Check your local community centre for other Valentine’s Day themed programs.
