Community centres offer all day programming during teachers’ strike

Vancouver Park Board community centres are responding to the BC Teachers’ Federation rotating one-day strikes by offering day long programming on Monday, May 26.

The strike, which takes place over four days in BC’s 60 school districts, is scheduled to begin in Vancouver on May 26.

Community centres with daycamps

Currently, 13 community centres across the city are offering daycamps with indoor/outdoor play:

  2. Champlain Heights
  3. Creekside
  4. Dunbar
  5. False Creek
  6. Hastings
  7. Kerrisdale
  8. Killarney
  9. Marpole-Oakridge
  10. Roundhouse
  11. Trout Lake
  12. West End
  13. West Point Grey

Hillcrest Rink

A special skate is scheduled for 1:45pm - 3:15pm at Hillcrest Rink.

Indoor and outdoor pools

Most pools, including outdoor ones, offer daytime public swim sessions.
