Province and City of Vancouver partner to provide winter shelters

An extreme weather alert (EWA) for Vancouver has issued for November 24 and 29 due to overnight temperatures at or below -2 C.

This EWA activates the authorities in the Assistance to Shelter Act for police to assist persons at risk due to extreme weather conditions and remains in effect until it is cancelled, according to sec. 2(2)(b) of the Assistance to Shelter Act.

  • Opens at 9:30pm, intake closes at 11:00pm
