Extreme Weather Alert

An Extreme Weather Alert (EWA) for Vancouver has been called for March 3 due to sub-zero temperatures.

This EWA activates the authorities in the Assistance to Shelter Act for police to assist persons at risk due to extreme weather conditions and remains in effect until it is cancelled, according to sec. 2(2)(b) of the Assistance to Shelter Act.

  • Spaces for men will be made available if the regular 72 shelter beds become full
