Gehl's report on public space and public life

In September 2017, with the support of Gehl, we conducted Vancouver's first Public Space and Public Life study. Now that the findings have been entered into our "people database", we'd like to invite you to a special presentation to hear some of Gehl's initial findings.

Event details

In September 2017, with the support of Gehl, we conducted Vancouver's first Public Space and Public Life Study. This was an enormous undertaking that could not have happened without the contributions of over 250 volunteers dedicated to improving our city.

This study spanned nearly 35 public spaces across the downtown – from plazas to streets, beaches to laneways, and everything in between – contributing to a comprehensive study of how public life functions in these neighbourhoods. In fact, this was the largest study of its kind in North America! Join us as we "pop-up" in locations around Downtown Vancouver to share our findings.
