Storm drains are shorelines too

We will focus on cleaning at and around the catch basins surrounding the Burrard Skytrain Station. Join us for this special event and make a difference in your community.

Litter that washes into storm drains can make its way to the ocean, affecting wildlife and their ocean homes. The Great Canadian Shoreline Cleanup is hosting this cleanup in partnership with the City of Vancouver’s Adopt a Catch Basin program and UN-Canada’s Green Corps.

Rain or shine. Bring gloves and dress appropriately for the weather. We'll provide water. There are fun prizes to be won too!

Can't make it to this event?

Adopt a catch basin and help clean the shoreline without actually going to the beach.

Litter that washes into our street catch basins may travel to the ocean and adversely affect sea life. When you keep litter and other debris out of your neighbourhood catch basin, you help keep the ocean and the shoreline cleaner. And you don't get any sand in your shoes!
