Iron Clad Art: Manhole cover design challenge

March 13 2013

Manholes give City maintenance workers access to the sewer and water systems.

Ironclad Art is your opportunity to showcase your creative contribution to Vancouver and have your artwork immortalized in iron on city streets for up to 100 years.

Submit your manhole cover designs that highlight the importance of our sewer system and express Vancouver’s spirit, values and a vision for a sustainable future by
4:00 p.m. on 15 April 2013.

You can submit up to two designs, one for sanitary sewers and another for storm sewers. Or, if you prefer, you can submit one design for both sewer types.

You don’t have to be a professional artist; just live, work or study in Vancouver and have great visual ideas.
