Complete the national census and play a role in our future

May 6 2016

"I know Vancouver residents will welcome the opportunity to be counted," says Mayor Gregor Robertson

Census 2016

Statistics Canada's 2016 Census has been arriving in the mailboxes of residents across Canada. The census collects demographic information on every person living in Canada.

This year marks the return of the long form census which contains additional questions beyond the 10 basic demographic questions. The long form census will be sent to 25% of households in Canada.

While the 2016 Census is a national initiative, we strongly urge you to take the time to complete the questionnaire as the results of the census will play a key role in the city's future.

Tenants residing in a suite in a house must also be counted as part of the census.
