Swim, skate, and workout for less with our special recreation pass

January 16 2013

Try it all in 2013!

The Vancouver Park Board’s ‘30 days for $30’ recreation pass will help you keep your New Year’s resolutions to get back in shape and stay healthy.

The seasonal Flexipass provides one month of unlimited access to the Park Board’s 15 fitness centres, nine pools and eight ice rinks for only $30 (a 31% discount off regular prices) and is available for purchase through January 31.

“This popular promotion makes our top-notch recreation facilities even more affordable and accessible to Vancouverites,” said Park Board commissioner and chair Sarah Blyth.  “In 2012, 30 days for $30 pass users enjoyed over 34,000 visits to City fitness centres, pools and rinks and we expect even greater success this year. The low-cost pass is part of our commitment to encourage active lifestyles, deliver great experiences and promote community involvement. ”

Overall participation at public recreation facilities has increased significantly in recent years as a result of extended hours and the introduction of spectacular new facilities including community centres at Hillcrest, Mount Pleasant, Trout Lake and Creekside. In 2012, visits to City pools reached 2.8 million, rink visits surpassed 300,000, and fitness centres recorded over 900,000 visits.

Promotion ends January 31st
