Vancouver offers Calgary 3-1-1 support with emergency flood information

City of Vancouver 3-1-1 staff are helping their Calgary counterparts cope with its Local State of Emergency by offering to take overflow call volume that Calgary cannot support.

Vancouver 3-1-1, the City’s first point of contact for residents of Vancouver, is on stand-by to provide Calgary residents with emergency flood response information, if needed.

If Calgary needs this support, local Vancouver callers to 3-1-1 looking for routine City of Vancouver information may experience some delays depending how busy the lines are with Calgary calls. We apologize for any delays and thank you for your patience.

Canadian municipalities have a tradition of working together in emergency response situations. We will stand by to offer Calgary whatever additional assistance is required.
